This Piece is a drawing done for
Wordage Weekly, a weekly blog featuring illustration
inspired by literary excerpts. This was my submission for week four. The quote is as follows:
"The perfect crime, like a perfect cognac, should be swirled and savored, and with what Decker called 'that strange quirk of vanity characteristic of the creative crook.'" - R. A.Scotti
The concept of the peice is to illustration the interplay of crime and cognac in a typographic manner. I created the drawing so it can be read right side up, or upside-down. The drawing is done completely in pen, and measures approximately 15" x 22". Enjoy!
