Description
“Excellens” is the first font totally created using Microsoft EXCEL 97.
The glyphs design was done using a standard EXCEL 97 worksheet, adding some border and diagonal color to draw the letters shape.
The final result is something that remind to the “Cholo Graffiti Calligraphy” used by Mexican gangs in Los Angeles, but in a new digital and elegant way.
You can download the Open Type font (Mac/Win) for free.
In the zip archive you will also find a folder that contains the original EXCEL 97 worksheets used to create the font.

This project was also selected for OFFF Barcelona 2011 Speaker’s Corner, and it was presented on Saturday 11th June at CCCB.
