Modular Alphabet
Info
Description
In mid 2011 I was experimenting with various materials to create typographic elements and played a lot with modular composition for letters.
This series is inspired by the tangram puzzles.
There is a variation, though, in number of elements in order to make all the characters display the same width and height.
I first cut the pieces on cardboard and when I was happy with the shapes I redesigned the set digitally.
The final result is very playful and very versatile in the use of colours and textures.
