A versatile custom sans serif typeface family for newspapers
It was created for the redesign of multiple regional newspapers and designed to serve as an ideal companion to the serif typefaces used in the forthcoming redesign of the newspapers (Lexicon by Bram de Does and Tiempos by Kris Sowersby). It is intended to match the emotional attributes targeted by the new layout: very warm, dynamic, optimistic, friendly, newsy, contemporary, human, accessible… Its other purpose is to bring an exclusive personality to these printed publications, but also online.
The family consists of two subfamilies: Multi H is distinctive in headlines and large sizes and Multi T is functional for small size texts as well. Multi H subfamily consists of six weights: ExtraLight, Light, Regular, Bold, ExtraBold and Black. Multi T subfamily consists of two weights (Regular and Bold) and two constructions (Roman and Italic), the fonts are: Regular, Italic, Bold and Bold Italic.

Multi es una familia de tipos sans serif, hecha a medida para periódicos.
Sus atributos formales representan fielmente los atributos emocionales de la propia publicación: calidez, dinamismo, optimismo, comunicación, contemporaneidad, humanismo y accesibilidad. Estos atributos se han representado mediante una familia de tipos sans pero con esa cualidad artesana que le da el acampanamiento y la leve asimetría de las astas.
El rango de proporciones (de condensado a ensanchado) y un contraste moderado, que se acentúa levemente en los tipos más “oscuros”, especialmente en la subfamilia para titulares, la hacen muy versátil.
La familia consiste en dos subfamilias: Multi H que le da relevancia a los titulares, y a aquellos textos aplicados a cuerpos grandes, y Multi T diseñada premiando la funcionalidad a cuerpos pequeños. La subfamilia Multi H consiste en seis pesos: ExtraLight, Light, Regular, Bold, ExtraBold y Black. La subfamilia Multi T consiste en dos pesos (Regular y Bold) y dos construcciones (Roman e Italic), las fuentes son: Regular, Italic, Bold y Bold Italic.
